Medellín has two airports that provide easy access to all of our visitors:
Olaya Herrera Airport (SKMD / EOH): Located in the city, it serves as a short-haul intra Colombia commercial, business and private aircraft airport.

Transportation to and from the international terminal
The international terminal is located in the region of Rionegro, 30 km southeast of Medellín’s centre. The average journey time to the centre is 45 minutes. Buses, minibuses and taxis connect the airport to different parts of Medellín. Taxi services can be requested by phone. Taxis are equipped with metres indicating the fare. The fare from the international terminal to the city centre is approximately COP 60,000 (~USD 20).

About SIKA transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes as well as diseases such as chikungunya, dengue and yellow fever. Aedes mosquitoes bite predominantly in the day, particularly during mid-morning and late afternoon to dusk. This type of mosquito is unlikely to be found at altitudes over 2,000m.
